Banff Springs Hotel
A gem in Canada’s Rockies which has held so many special occasions for my friends, family and also the Kennedy’s.
The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel castle-like building in Banff National Park is set against a backdrop of Alberta’s picturesque mountains and forests, within 1.8 km of Bow Falls, and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. In short – it is spectacular and you need only visit the Travel Alberta instagram account to see how stunning this part of the world is. Opened to the public on June 1, 1888, actors, politicians and dignitaries have made the rounds, including Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, Helen Keller, Bing Crosby and Ginger Rogers.
