Pumpkin Patch Mania (And Where to Go)

Yes, we know, at this point in October you may be sick to death of seeing everyone taking photos of themselves or their kids in pumpkin patches (guilty) as we approach Halloween, but if you have not gone, there is still time! So let’s look at a list of favorites across the nation.

It seems every town, no matter how small, offers a pumpkin patch event of some kind, so everyone will have a local favorite. Therefore we are turning to Travel + Leisure’s list (actually it was Yelp’s) for the 25 best pumpkin patches in the U.S.

“To help you select your best pumpkin ever, Yelp has rounded up the 25 best pumpkin patches in the country, as based on online reviews. In order to make the list, Yelp considered all the listings under “farm” or “home and garden” that contained the word “pumpkin” in their reviews. All the businesses considered must have a pumpkin patch on-site where customers can select their own pumpkins for the season. The top businesses were ranked using a number of different factors, including how often reviewers wrote about their pumpkins. Although the country’s top pumpkin patches spread from coast to coast, this year’s top winners were in northern California. The top two pumpkin patches are in Half Moon Bay and Sacramento. Other states represented multiple times in the top 10 included Indiana and Maryland.”
